Concha Ibáñez
Concha Ibáñez Escobar (also, Conxa Ibáñez; 26 March 1926 – 22 December 2022) was a Spanish contemporary painter and writer. A landscape artist, she painted scenes in Catalonia, Castile, Andalusia, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Venice, Greece, Maghreb, Cuba, and New York City. Her illustrations in oil or engraving accompanied the works of the writers Baltasar Porcel, Miquel de Palol, Marta Pessarrodona Marta Pessarrodona y Artigues (born November 18, 1941) is a Catalan poet, storyteller and literary critic. She has also written essays and biographies. She is the author of books such as ''Primers dies de 1968'' (1968), ''Setembre 30'' (1969), '' ..., Cesareo Rodriguez-Aguilera, and Josep Maria Carandell. Concha Ibanez
A Concha (Spanish, 'shell'), plural conchas, is a traditional Mexican sweet bread (''pan dulce'') with similar consistency to a brioche. Conchas get their name from their round shape and their striped, seashell-like appearance. A concha consists of two parts, a sweetened bread roll, and a crunchy topping (composed of flour, butter, and sugar). The most common topping flavors being chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. Conchas are commonly found throughout Mexico, Guatemala, and their diasporas in ''panaderias.'' They can also be found in grocery stores and bakeries across the United States. History The exact origin of the concha is unknown. Many believe that it dates back to the colonial period, and was introduced by French bakers who settled in Mexico, known as New Spain back then. Miquel De Palol
Miquel de Palol i Muntanyola (born April 2, 1953) is a Catalan architect, poet and storyteller, son of the archaeologist Pere de Palol. In 2011 he was appointed president of the Associació d'Escriptors en Llengua Catalana, Association of Collegiate Writers of Catalonia. His first novel in Catalan language, Catalan, ''El jardí dels set crepuscles'' (''The Garden of Seven Twilights''), earned in the year of its publication (1989) almost all the prizes available for works in Catalan language. Marta Pessarrodona y Artigues (born November 18, 1941) is a Catalan poet, storyteller and literary critic. She has also written essays and biographies. She is the author of books such as ''Primers dies de 1968'' (1968), ''Setembre 30'' (1969), ''Vida privada'' (1972), ''Memòria'' (1979), ''A favor meu, nostre'' (1981), ''Tria de poemes'' (1994), and ''L'amor a Barcelona'' (1998).
