Conan The Cimmerian (video Game)
Conan the Cimmerian is a video game that was released by Virgin Games and Synergistic Software in 1991 for Amiga and DOS. It is an action-adventure game with RPG elements. Gameplay The player takes on the role of the titular Conan, a blacksmith living in the village of Irskuld, Cimmeria, who takes revenge on those who raided his home and killed his beloved wife. He discovers that the one responsible for this act was a wizard named Thoth Amon - a high priest of Cult of Set. Conan travels to the land of Hyborea, to the city of Shadizar. The game consists of three types of areas. The first one is an overland map in which travel between towns or other places is possible. The second one is horizontal third person movement through the city or underneath it, talking to people and visiting buildings. Synergistic Software
Synergistic Software was a video game developer based in Seattle. Founded in 1978, the company published some of the earliest available games and applications for the Apple II family of computers. They continued developing games for various platforms into the late 1990s. History After graduating from Rice University in 1974 with degrees in Electrical Engineering and Mathematical Science, Robert (Bob) Clardy was hired by Boeing as an electrical engineer at the Johnson Space Center, then moved to Seattle in 1977 with his wife Ann. Bob Clardy first was exposed to personal home computers at that time, following the releases of the Apple II and Tandy TRS-80, both in 1977. He purchased an upgraded (16 Kb) Apple II in 1978 and began modifying the code for ''Dragon Maze'', an Integer BASIC program written by Gary J. ''.info'' (originally ''INFO=64'' and later ''INFO'') was a computer magazine covering Commodore 8-bit computers and later the Amiga. It was published from 1983 to 1992. History ''INFO=64'' began as a newsletter published by its founder, Benn Dunnington, operating out of a spare bedroom in his home. After a few issues, the entrepreneurial spirit struck and he decided to expand it into a full-fledged magazine. The first few issues of the magazine were published by Dunnington operating as a sole proprietorship in the state of Washington. After a few issues, he moved the company to Iowa, eventually incorporating as ''Info Publications, Inc.''.
