Comrade José
Víctor Quispe Palomino (born 1 August 1960), nom de guerre, also known as Comrade José (''Camarada José''), is a Peruvian communist militant, and leader of the Militarized Communist Party of Peru, an offshoot of the Marxism–Leninism–Maoism, Marxist–Leninist–Maoist guerrilla warfare, guerrilla Shining Path. The group is present in the VRAEM region. By late November 2007, DIRCOTE had identified Quispe Palomino as one of the ten most wanted terrorists in the Apurimac and Ene River Valley (VRAE). In 2008 it was reported that captured Shining Path documents showed that Comrade Jose was claiming to be the successor of Shining Path founder Abimael Guzmán. On 31 May 2009 Comrade José gave an interview to a reporter from Punto Final, a Peruvian news show. During the interview Comrade José took responsibility for Shining Path actions, admitted that he personally participated in the Lucanamarca massacre, and demonstrated a group of child soldiers under his command. Militarized Communist Party Of Peru
The Militarized Communist Party of Peru (, MPCP) is a political party and militant group in Peru that follows Marxism–Leninism–Maoism and participates in the Internal conflict in Peru, communist insurgency in Peru. It is considered a List of designated terrorist groups, terrorist organization by the government of Peru. The MPCP operates primarily in the Valle de los Ríos Apurímac, Ene y Mantaro, VRAEM area and is involved in the area's coca production. Comrade José has been the leader of the MPCP since its official creation in 2018 after its final split from the declining Shining Path guerilla group. The MPCP originated in the 1990s as the Communist Party of Peru – Pro-Seguir (PCP Pro-Seguir), forming after the capture of Abimael Guzmán. San Cristóbal Of Huamanga University
The National University of San Cristóbal de Huamanga () is a public university located in the city of Ayacucho (formerly known as Huamanga) in southern Peru. History The university was established in 1677 by Cristóbal de Castilla y Zamora, the Catholic archbishop of La Plata o Charcas. Until it was closed in the mid-19th century, it operated mostly as a seminary for the training of Catholic priests. The government of Perú reopened it in 1959 as a national university. In the 1960s, the university became a breeding ground for communist organizations, including the Shining Path. This group, led by philosophy professor Abimael Guzmán, started there before growing into a violent guerrilla movement that conducted a bloody campaign against the government of Perú and against rival leftists groups.
