1927 is an Australian pop rock band formed in 1987. The original lineup consisted of James Barton (drums), Billy Frost (bass guitar), his brother Garry Frost (guitar, keyboards), and Erik Weideman (vocals, guitar, keyboards). The band achieved mainstream success in the late 1980s and early 1990s with several hit songs. The Fourth Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards (generally known as the ARIA Music Awards or simply The ARIAs) was held on 26 March 1990 at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre in Sydney.
