Complicated (EP)
''Complicated'' is the second EP by Canadian country music artist Josh Ross. It was released on March 29, 2024, and is his debut project to be released by The Core Entertainment and Universal Music Canada, in partnership with UMG Nashville's Mercury Nashville imprint. The EP was produced by Matt Geroux, and includes the singles "Trouble" and " Single Again", as well as the promotional singles "Truck Girl" and "Matching Tattoos". Background Ross described ''Complicated'' as "a body of work that showcases lyrically who I am as a person, and me sonically as a creative". He noted that he is "drawn to different sounds and production depending on what the emotion of the song calls for" and that the EP represents who he is "becoming as an artist". Ross co-wrote every track on the EP, with the exception of "Tell Me a Lie". Canadian Country Music Association
The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry. The groundwork for the association began on June 3rd, 1973 when a group of twelve entertainers, promoters and radio personalities met at The Horseshoe Tavern in Toronto, Ontario and formed a Board of Directors to help promote Canadian content. 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards
The 2023 Canadian Country Music Awards, honouring achievements in Canadian country music, were presented on September 16, 2023, at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. For the first time in 25 years they were broadcast by CTV instead of Global, under a new content partnership with Bell Media which included a listener contest on the Pure Country radio network to win tickets to attend the event. The ceremony was hosted by country duo The Reklaws. Performers included Sam Hunt, Jade Eagleson, James Barker Band, Dean Brody, Carly Pearce, Josh Ross, Dallas Smith, Train and Tenille Townes. The Digital Songs or Digital Song Sales chart (previously named Hot Digital Songs) ranks the best-selling digital songs in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published by ''Billboard'' magazine. Although it originally started tracking song sales the week of October 30, 2004, it officially debuted in the issue dated January 22, 2005, and merged all versions of a song sold from digital music distributors. Its data was incorporated in the Hot 100 three weeks later. Since October 2004, digital sales have been incorporated into many of ''Billboard''s music singles charts. The decision was based on the dramatic increase of the digital market while commercial single sales in a physical format were becoming negligible.
