Compass FM (Belarus)
Compass FM was an Independent Local Radio station serving Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham. Last owned by Bauer Radio, the station broadcast from 2001 to 2020, when it was subsumed by Greatest Hits Radio, as part of its Yorkshire region. Licence application Threapplicationswere received by the Radio Authority by 5 September 2000, which also included the proposed Haven FM and Southbank FM, having been firsadvertisedin May 2000. The licence for the station was awarded on 24 November 2000. Format Compass FM sat within its sister station's (Lincs FM) TSA (Total Service Area), and the station's format reflected this. Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is a digital radio international standard, standard for broadcasting digital audio radio services in many countries around the world, defined, supported, marketed and promoted by the WorldDAB organisation. The Lincs FM Group was the parent company of several Independent Local Radio (ILR) stations. As of Q2 2019 the group had a combined audience of 524,000. It was based in Lincolnshire, in the UK. The A180 is a primary route in northern England, that runs from the M180 motorway to Cleethorpes. The road is a continuation of the M180, but built to lower specifications: it is mainly dual two-lane without hard shoulders. The road is (mostly grade separation, grade separated) dual carriageway for from the M180 to Grimsby, and is a single carriageway road for between Grimsby and Cleethorpes beach. Greatest Hits Radio (GHR) is a classic hits radio network in the United Kingdom, owned and operated by Bauer Media Audio UK. It currently includes 18 local and regional radio stations operating over 50 FM and DAB licences in England, Scotland and Wales, as well as a national DAB station in areas not served by a local Bauer-owned licence. The GHR brand launched on 7 January 2019 as an "older" companion to Hits Radio, which Bauer had launched in 2018.
