Commonplace (album)
''Commonplace'' is the sixth album of the Japanese band Every Little Thing, released on March 10, 2004 by Avex Trax. Background The album contains mainly soft rock and acoustic-like tunes, and a few rockish tunes as well. Ichirō Itō played guitar in all the songs, and also participated in the arrangements and compositions of some of them. All the lyrics were written by Kaori Mochida, but received help on track 5 "Country Road", which is the duo's first song that sang completely in English. The album was released in a regular CD only version and a limited edition with a bonus DVD. The multimedia material includes behind the scenes shots at the album photoshoot, and also a special performance of 1998 single "Time Goes By". Every Little Thing (band)
Every Little Thing (also known as ELT) is a pop/ soft rock duo from Japan who debuted in August 1996 with the release of their first single called " Feel My Heart". Their name is usually written in English, and only rarely in ''katakana''. They gained massive popularity in the late 1990s and early 2000s. As of 2013, Every Little Thing has sold over 23 million copies of singles and albums throughout Japan. Their second studio album, '' Time to Destination'', is the best-selling album of the band with over 3.5 million copies sold, and became the 10th best-selling album of all time in Japan. Also known as ELT by their fans, Every Little Thing was originally a trio but became a duo in 2000 with Kaori Mochida as the singer and Ichiro Ito as the guitarist. , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. It started as, which was founded by Sōkō Koike in November 1967 and became known for its music charts. The Railway Children (band)
The Railway Children are a British new wave band, formed in Wigan in 1984, by Gary Newby (songwriter/vocals/guitar/keyboards), Brian Bateman (rhythm/guitar), Guy Keegan (drums), and Stephen Hull (bass). Career Factory Records recorded their debut single "A Gentle Sound" in 1986. This was followed by their first album, '' Reunion Wilderness'' in 1987, which topped the UK Indie Chart. Kaori Mochida
is the lead singer of Japanese pop group Every Little Thing. Biography Mochida began her career as a child actress, appearing in magazines and TV commercials. She then became a member of the second generation of idol group The Kuro Buta All-Stars, and entered the entertainment world as (Kaori Mochida, with ''Kaori'' written in '' hiragana''). Shortly after, she released her first single as a solo artist, titled "Mō Ichido" in November 1993. She didn't decide to become a singer professionally until she was in high school. Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means.
