Committee On Environment And Agriculture
(Parliamentary) Committee on Environment and Agriculture ( sv, miljö- och jordbruksutskottet) (MJU) is a parliamentary committee in the Swedish Riksdag. The committee's main areas of responsibility are the Swedish agricultural industry, agriculture, forestry, policies surrounding gardening, hunting, fishing, and weather forecasting. The committee also handles other matters such as the safety of nuclear power, nature conservation, and environmental protection, along with other matters that do not concern any other of the seventeen committees. There are fifteen parliamentary committees in the Riksdag, Sweden's parliament. Each committee is made up of seventeen elected MPs, with at least one member from each political party. Additionally, the committee on EU Affairs, while not one of the standing committees, has a similar role. Margareta Winberg
Gun Margareta Winberg (born ''Gustafsson'' 13 August 1947) is a Swedish Social Democratic politician. Winberg held various ministerial posts in the Third cabinet of Ingvar Carlsson and the Cabinet of Göran Persson from 1994 to 2003, and was Deputy Prime Minister of Sweden from 2002 to 2003. She was Minister for Agriculture from 1994 to 1996, and again from 1998 to 2002, Minister for Labour from 1996 to 1998, and, in addition, held the position of Minister for Gender Equality from 1998 to 2003. Göran Persson
Hans Göran Persson (; born 20 January 1949) is a Swedish politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1996 to 2006 and leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 1996 to 2007. Persson was first elected to the Swedish Parliament in 1979, representing Södermanland County but left in 1985 to serve as Municipal Commissioner of Katrineholm, which he did from 1985 to 1989. In 1991, he was re-elected to the Parliament and represented the same constituency. He served as Minister for Schools from 1989 to 1991 in Ingvar Carlsson's first and second cabinets. The Centre Party ( sv, Centerpartiet ; C) is a liberal political party in Sweden, founded in 1913. The party's major issues are the national economy, the environment, political decentralisation and social integration.
