Background The sixteenth series, consisted of three episodes, each of which had a different cast and storyline. It was announced that ''Miller's Mountain'' was going to be made into a series, whereas ''Monks'' was not. No decision was announced regarding ''Over to Bill''. ''Miller's Mountain'' was renamed ''Mountain Goats'' and a six-part series aired on BBC One from 14 August 2015. The series received overwhelmingly negative reviews. ''Comedy Playhouse'' is a long-running British anthology series of one-off unrelated sitcoms that aired for 120 episodes from 1961 to 1975. A mountain is an elevated portion of the Earth's crust, generally with steep sides that show significant exposed bedrock. Douglas Rodger Naylor (born 31 December 1955) is an English comedy writer, science fiction writer, director and television producer. Life and career Naylor was born in Manchester, Lancashire, England, and studied at Chetham's School of Music and the University of Liverpool. In the mid-1980s Naylor created and wrote two comedy sketch shows for BBC Radio 4 entitled ''Cliché'' and ''Son of Cliché'', as well as two sitcoms,''Wrinkles'' and ''Wally Who?'' for the same station. These shows were scripted by Naylor along with another writer, Rob Grant. The 24th British Academy Scotland Awards were held on 16 November 2014 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow, honouring the best Scottish film and television productions of 2013. Danny Robins (born September 1976) is an English comedy writer and performer, broadcaster and journalist. Robins began his comedy career as a teenager doing stand-up in his home town of Newcastle upon Tyne, where he was friends with Ross Noble, and later at Bristol University as part of the trio "Club Seals" with Marcus Brigstocke and Dan Tetsell. Sean Christopher Walsh (born 2 December 1985), known professionally as Seann Walsh, is an English stand-up comedian. Early life Walsh was born in Camden in London, but was brought up in Brighton. He left school with one GCSE examination pass, in Drama. Career Walsh is a graduate of Jill Edwards' comedy workshops and performed his first gig in November 2006.
