Comedy Group
A comedy troupe is a group of comedians and associated personnel who work together to perform comedy as entertainment. The term is often used interchangeably with comedy group, and the troupe may specialize in a specific genre or style of comedy. Monty Python, also known as the Pythons, were a British comedy troupe formed in 1969 consisting of Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones and Michael Palin. The group came to prominence for the sketch comedy series '' Monty Python's Flying Circus'', which aired on the BBC from 1969 to 1974. Improvisational Theatre
Improvisational theatre, often called improvisation or improv or impro in British English, is the form of theatre, often comedy, in which most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted, created spontaneously by the performers. In its purest form, the dialogue, action, story, and characters are created collaboratively by the players as the improvisation unfolds in present time, without use of an already prepared, written Play (theatre), script. Them There is a theatrical production collective made up of a group of comedy writers and performers, notable for working on a range of projects together including the first five series of ''Horrible Histories'', '' Yonderland'', and ''Ghosts''. They are also informally referred to as the ''Horrible Histories'' troupe and ''The Six Idiots''. Senario
Senario is a Malaysian sketch comedy troupe responsible for their titular show (also called ''Senario'') that had aired on TV3 from June 1996 to 2013, in which due to its popularity has also spawned a franchise of comedy films featuring its cast. Kummeli
Kummeli is the name of a Finland, Finnish comedy crew formed by Heikki Silvennoinen, Timo Kahilainen and Heikki Hela from Tampere. They are also the heads of ''Porkkana Ryhmä'', the crew's production company. Other famous members have included Olli Keskinen, better known for his on-screen persona ''Eero Kakko'', and Heikki Vihinen who replaced Keskinen in the mid-90s. Kummeli appeared on television between 1991 and 1995. After a successful Television pilot, three-part pilot aired in 1991, they were given their own show on YLE's channel 2 with a completely new look. Asperger's Are Us
Asperger's Are Us is an American comedy troupe. They are the first comedy troupe consisting entirely of people with Asperger syndrome, though their shows do not reference autism at all. Biography Asperger's Are Us formed on the North Shore of Massachusetts in the summer of 2010 after New Michael Ingemi, Jack Hanke, and Ethan Finlan graduated from a summer camp where Noah Britton was their counselor. They have performed over 150 original sketch comedy shows in ten countries and have been interviewed many times by press around the world. The Hollow Men are an English sketch comedy group consisting of David Armand, Nick Tanner, Rupert Russell, and Sam Spedding. ''The Hollow Men'' is also the title of their TV show broadcast in the United States by Comedy Central. The show follows the kind of silliness from sketch comedy shows like ''Monty Python's Flying Circus'' and '' The Kids in the Hall''. The six-episode series aired in early 2005. In 2006 they broadcast a BBC Radio 4 sketch show, also of the same name. The Tenderloins, often referred to as the Impractical Jokers, are an American comedy troupe composed of James "Murr" Murray, Brian "Q" Quinn, and Sal Vulcano. The Mighty Boosh is a British comedy troupe featuring comedians Julian Barratt and Noel Fielding. Blue Collar Comedy Tour
The Blue Collar Comedy Tour was an American comedy troupe, featuring Jeff Foxworthy with three of his comedian friends, Bill Engvall, Ron White, and Larry the Cable Guy, who had replaced fellow comedian Craig Hawksley, who performed in the first 26 shows on the tour. The troupe toured together for six years beginning in January 2000 in Omaha, before finishing in 2006 at the Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The troupe also created the CMT show ''Bounty Hunters''. Origin Jeff Foxworthy had already established himself as a well known, Grammy Award-winning comedian, best known for his jokes and stories about life as a redneck.
