Comedy Central Spain
Comedy Central is a Spanish pay television channel owned by Paramount Global under its Paramount Networks EMEAA division. Comedy Central in Spain was launched on 1 March 1999. Like the British version of Comedy Central, the channel originally used the name Paramount Comedy and only broadcast from 7PM to 7AM, due to sharing its signal with Nickelodeon, but later on 1 February 2005 both channel gained independent signals. It broadcasts a mixture of comedy series (both Spanish and international) and original programming with Spanish comedians. The original programming is produced under the umbrella of the ''Nuevos Cómicos'' (new comedians) program. The original ''Nuevos Cómicos'' program is a stand up comedy program, whose comedians also make theater performance tours since 2001. MTV is a Spanish pay television channel which focuses its programming on general entertainment and music. It was launched on 10 September 2000 as the Spanish version of the United States cable television channel and is owned by Paramount Global. It used to be available on the Spanish digital terrestrial television platform between 2010 and 2014, until it moved back to pay television due to a low audience figure. Dani Mateo
Abraham Mateo, known professionally as Dani Mateo, is a Spanish comedian, singer, actor and radio and television host known for his work in the program '' Sé lo que hicisteis...'' in La Sexta channel. As a singer, he is known for his song "sexy señorita achupego achupe". He graduated in journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and launched his professional career in local radio. ''La que se avecina'' is a Spanish television sitcom created by Alberto Caballero, Laura Caballero and Daniel Deorador. The show is set in the fictitious Mirador de Montepinar, a condominium located in the suburbs of Madrid. The show is an indirect successor to the Antena 3 comedy ''Aquí no hay quien viva''. The title is both an expression meaning "the trouble that is approaching" and a pun on "la casa vecina" - the neighbouring house - and so it alludes to the show's neighbourly setting as well as the regular quarrels between the characters.
