Come Clarity
''Come Clarity'' is the eighth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released in February 2006. It was originally going to be called ''Crawl Through Knives'' but was changed during development. The album features the artwork of Derek Hess, who is popular among metal bands and has produced artwork for Converge and Sepultura amongst others. Specifically the artwork of Sepultura's album '' Roorback'' has a lot of similarities. The songs "Take This Life" and "Come Clarity" feature accompanying music videos. "Take This Life" is also a playable track in the video game '' Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock''. Musical style Stylistically the album borrows from the band's earlier, heavier roots, with elements of the later style still present. It features the return of the guitar harmonies and solos of the band, and can be described as a combination of their older and newer sound. In Flames is a Swedish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band, formed by guitarist Jesper Strömblad in Gothenburg in 1990 out of the Swedish death metal, Swedish death metal scene. Their lineup has changed several times, with vocalist Anders Fridén and guitarist Björn Gelotte being the only consistent members since 1995. Since the departure of Strömblad in 2010, no original members remain with the band. In Flames helped pioneer melodic death metal along with fellow Swedish bands At the Gates and Dark Tranquillity. Derek Hess
Derek Hess is an American artist based in Cleveland, Ohio. His creative career grew largely out of his ability to express the emotion in the indie, hardcore, and metal scenes of the mid-1990s. From concert posters to politically charged fine art pieces, Cleveland-based artist Derek Hess has tested the waters of both the music and art world for over 15 years. Hess began creating promotional flyers for shows in Cleveland using his own unique vision and a tendency to playing off the band's names and genres. These flyers soon garnered the attention of countless bands as well as both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Louvre in Paris, who both have Hess' art in their permanent collections. The Dead Eye
''The Dead Eye'' is the fifth studio album by Swedish heavy metal band The Haunted. It was released on 30 October 2006. The "bloodpack" edition includes the collectors edition DVD, promotional button, two-sided guitar pick, t-shirt, and a floating dead eyeball. In 2006, Century Media also released "The Dead Eye" on 12" vinyl (120 gram), with the initial artwork and inserts (not the limited edition packaging). The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1996. The original members were Anders and Jonas Björler, Peter Dolving, Adrian Erlandsson and Patrik Jensen. The Grammis (sometimes referred to as the Swedish Grammy Awards) are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. ''Whoracle'' is the third studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released on 18 November 1997. The title of the album is a portmanteau of the English words " whore" and "oracle". Apart from " Everything Counts", which is a cover of a Depeche Mode song, all songs were composed and arranged by In Flames. The lyrics were translated by ''Dark Tranquillity'' guitarist Niklas Sundin, after Anders Fridén had written them in Swedish. Lunar Strain
''Lunar Strain'' is the debut studio album by Swedish melo death band In Flames, released in April 1994. The album is known for its " folky elements", with the inclusion of violins and acoustic guitars along with influences from black metal. It is the only In Flames album to not feature Anders Fridén as the vocalist and Björn Gelotte as either drummer or lead guitarist. Guitarist Jesper Strömblad plays the drums, while the vocals are sung by Dark Tranquillity vocalist Mikael Stanne, a session musician for In Flames at the time. Stanne had sung with the band previously on "Demo '93". Coincidentally, Fridén was the original vocalist for Dark Tranquillity and he effectively traded places with Stanne in 1995.
