Aidlingen is a municipality in the district of Böblingen in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. History The County of Württemberg came into possession of Aidlingen when it was sold to Württemberg by the Lords of Bondorf in 1365. Aidlingen was ruled from the city of Böblingen while nearby Dachtal was given to the jurisdiction of Calw. Aidlingen expanded substantially and industrialized after World War II, particularly in the 1960s and 1970s. Dachtal was incorporated into Aidlingen in 1971 and nearly doubled in size through the 1980s. Comco is the ''de facto'' name of an American company operating two Boeing 757 aircraft. Overview Little is known about the exact nature of their operation, but the aircraft are believed to operate on behalf of the United States Department of Defense. There is speculation they are occasionally repainted to display military serial numbers instead of the customary civilian registration code. They are often confused with the similarly secretive and sparsely marked Boeing C-32B Gatekeeper aircraft, modified 757's operated by the U.S. Air Force. The aircraft are painted white, and have either the word ''COMCO'' on the tail or stylized blue sweeps on the tail, fuselage, and engine cowling. Hang gliding is an air sports, air sport or recreational activity in which a pilot flies a light, non-motorised foot-launched heavier-than-air aircraft called a hang glider. Ballistic Parachute
A ballistic parachute, ballistic reserve parachute, or emergency ballistic reserve parachute, is a parachute ejected from its casing by a small explosion, much like that used in an ejection seat. The advantage of the ballistic parachute over a conventional parachute is that it ejects the parachute canopy (oftentimes via a small rocket), causing it to open rapidly, this makes it ideal for attaching to light aircraft, hang gliders and microlights, where an emergency may occur in close proximity to the ground.
