Coláiste Chiaráin
Coláiste Chiaráin (in English: the College of St. Kieran), also known as Leixlip Community School, is a co-educational community school in Leixlip established in 1980 under the trusteeship of the Presentation Sisters, the Archbishop of Dublin and Co Kildare VEC. As of 2024, it had approximately 580 students enrolled. Coláiste Chiaráin's motto, in Irish, is "Tús Feasa Fiafraí" which means "enquiry is the beginning of knowledge". Leixlip
Leixlip ( or ; , ) is a town in north-east County Kildare, Ireland. Its location on the confluence of the River Liffey and the Rye Water has marked it as a frontier town historically: on the border between the ancient kingdoms of Leinster and Brega, as an outpost of The Pale, and on Kildare's border with County Dublin. The Presentation Sisters, officially the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, are a religious institute of Roman Catholic women founded in Cork, Ireland, by Honora "Nano" Nagle in 1775.
