Coláiste Bríde
Coláiste Bríde is a secondary school located in Clondalkin, South Dublin, Ireland. Coláiste Bríde was founded by the Presentation Sisters in 1955. Coláiste Bríde is a Voluntary Catholic Secondary School for girls only, operating under the Trusteeship of CEIST (Catholic Education on Irish Schools). The school hosted a number of prominent Irish personalities, including Niall Breslin (Bressie), Miriam O'Callaghan and the Former Governor of Mountjoy Prison, John Lonergan, who have given inspirational and motivational speeches to over 900 students. New Building The construction of the new building began in 2004, costing over 13 million euro. Overseen by engineer Lawson Mealiffe it officially opened in May 2008. Clondalkin () is a suburban village in County Dublin, Republic of Ireland, Ireland, approximately west of Dublin city centre. The Presentation Sisters, officially the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, are a religious institute of Roman Catholic women founded in Cork, Ireland, by Honora "Nano" Nagle in 1775. Miriam O'Callaghan (born 1959 or 1960) is an Irish television current affairs presenter with RTÉ. O'Callaghan has presented ''Prime Time'' since 1996, and her own summer talk show, ''Saturday Night with Miriam'', from 2005 onwards. In the summer of 2009, she began a radio show, '' Miriam Meets...'', since replaced by live show ''Sunday with Miriam''. Moyle Park College
Moyle Park College is a secondary school in Clondalkin, South Dublin, Ireland. History The school was established by the Marist Brothers in 1957, and grew alongside the population of the local area. As of the 2017 school year, no more Marist Brothers taught in the school. In 2007 Moyle Park College celebrated its Golden Jubilee. On 13 October a ceremony was held in the sports hall to mark the occasion. This was attended by the then President of Ireland Mary McAleese who also opened the Golden Jubilee Garden. Niamh Cahalane took over as principal from Maurice Hartigan in August 2016. During the summer months, the college is host to Moyle Park English Language College.
