Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) is a Private university, private Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Lutheran university in Parkland, Washington. It was founded by Norwegian Lutheran immigrants in 1890. PLU is sponsored by the 580 congregations of Region I of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. PLU has approximately 2,700 students enrolled. As of 2023, the school employs approximately 238 full-time professors on the woodland campus. The Steve Miller Band
The Steve Miller Band is an American rock band formed in San Francisco, California in 1966. The band is led by Steve Miller on guitar and lead vocals. The group had a string of mid- to late-1970s hit singles that are staples of classic rock radio, as well as several earlier psychedelic rock albums. Miller left his first band to move to San Francisco and form the Steve Miller Blues Band. Shortly after Harvey Kornspan negotiated the band's contract with Capitol Records in 1967, the band shortened its name to the Steve Miller Band. In February 1968, the band recorded its debut album, '' Children of the Future''. It went on to produce the albums ''Sailor'', ''Brave New World'', '' Your Saving Grace'', '' Number 5'', '' The Joker'', '' Fly Like an Eagle'', and '' Book of Dreams'', among others. Ole Grönsberg
Ole N. Grønsberg was a pastor, second president of Pacific Lutheran University (PLU) and a travelling missionary. Grønsberg graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa and trained at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. He was ordained in 1880 and was pastor of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in San Francisco. He became PLU president, succeeding Bjug Harstad, on October 3, 1895 where he was an advisory member of the Board of Trustees and taught World History.
