Colts–Jaguars Rivalry
The Colts–Jaguars rivalry is a National Football League (NFL) List of NFL rivalries, rivalry between the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars began their NFL journey in the 1995 NFL season, 1995 season, but it was not until the 2002 NFL season, 2002 season that the Colts and Jaguars officially became divisional rivals, following the establishment of the AFC South. 2009 NFL Season
The 2009 NFL season was the 90th season in the history of the National Football League (NFL). The 50th anniversary of the original eight charter members of the American Football League was celebrated during this season. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. 1987 Indianapolis Colts Season
The 1987 Indianapolis Colts season was the 35th season for the team in the National Football League (NFL) and fourth in Indianapolis. It was also their first full season under head coach Ron Meyer, who had taken over a 0–13 Colts team the previous season after Rod Dowhower was fired. The team finished the strike-shortened season with a record of 9–6 and won the AFC East division. 1984 Indianapolis Colts Season
The 1984 Indianapolis Colts season was the 32nd season for the team in the National Football League (NFL) and first in Indianapolis, as they relocated from Baltimore after the 1983 NFL season. The Colts finished the year with a record of 4 wins and 12 losses, and fourth in the AFC East division. In their inaugural game in Indianapolis, they lost 23–14 to the New York Jets and did not win their first game at Indianapolis until week 5, when they defeated the Buffalo Bills 31–17. The Colts lost five games in a row (including another one to the Bills, who started the season 0–11 and finished 2–14) to end the season and miss the playoffs for the 7th straight season.
