Bulgaria was represented at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2015, as the host country, after Italy who had won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014, declined the invitation from the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) to host the contest. The event took place at the Arena Armeec on 21 November 2015. National broadcasters Bulgarian National Television (BNT) and bTV (Bulgaria), bTV jointly organised the national selection process, in order to decide who would represent them on home soil. Submissions for the national selection shows opened in July 2015, for singers aged between 10-15. A professional jury of members from the music industry, selected the best entries to proceed forward to a non-televised auditions event that took place in August 2015. Stanislav Todorov Trifonov (; born 18 October 1966), known as Slavi Trifonov (), is a Bulgarian TV host, tambourine and viola player, singer and politician. Trifonov is mainly active in the traditional Bulgarian folklore music genres, but he has experimented with other genres such as hip-hop in collaboration with the Australian-based producer Yasen Subev, and pop-rock and punk as a part of Ku-Ku Band (). Jessica Ellen Cornish (born 27 March 1988), known professionally as Jessie J, is an English singer and songwriter.
