Colorado State Representative
The Colorado House of Representatives is the lower house of the Colorado General Assembly, the state legislature (United States), state legislature of the U.S. state of Colorado. The House is composed of 65 members from an equal number of constituent districts, with each district having roughly 80 thousand people. Representatives are elected to two-year terms, and are term limits in the United States, limited to four consecutive terms in office, but can run again after a four-year respite. The Colorado General Assembly is the state legislature of the State of Colorado. It is a bicameral legislature consisting of the Senate and House of Representatives that was created by the 1876 state constitution. The Town of Dillon is a home rule municipality located in Summit County, Colorado, United States. The town population was 1,064 at the 2020 United States census, a +17.70% increase since the 2010 United States Census. History The original town of Dillon was built as a stage stop and trading post on the northeast side of the Snake River. The town was named for Tom Dillon, a prospector, and was incorporated in 1883. By 1892, the town had been relocated twice, both times in order to be closer to railroad lines that were extended into the area. Julie Lynn McCluskie (born January 12, 1964) is an American politician who is the 62nd Speaker of the Colorado House of Representatives since 2023. The speaker of a deliberative assembly, especially a legislative body, is its presiding officer, or the chair. The title was first used in 1377 in England. The speaker's official role is to moderate debate, make rulings on procedure, announce the results of votes, and the like. The speaker decides who may speak and has the powers to discipline members who break the procedures of the chamber or house. Steve Lebsock
Steve Lebsock is an American politician who served in the Colorado House of Representatives from the 34th district as a member of the Democratic and Republican parties from 2013 until his expulsion in 2018. Prior to his tenure in the state house he served on the city council in Thornton, Colorado from 2003 to 2011. Lebsock was born in Sterling, Colorado, and educated at Westminster High School and the Metropolitan State University of Denver. He was in the United States Marine Corps for three years and served on the Thornton city council for eight years. Lebsock was elected to the state house in the 2012 election and reelected in the 2014 and 2016 elections. He became the chair of the Local Government committee.
