State Highway 112 (SH 112) is a state highway in southern Colorado. Built in 1916 and formally defined in 1922, the route begins at its western end in Del Norte at a junction with U.S. Highway 160 (US 160). From there the road travels east crossing US 285 two miles (3.2 km) west of Center before reaching its eastern terminus at Hooper where it meets SH 17. Route description The route begins at US 160 in central Del Norte. Here, it begins northward along Oak Street before crossing the Rio Grande, where the route exits the city and curves northeastward. The highway then straddles the Rio Grande – Saguache county line as it travels in a northeasterly direction. Soon, it intersects County Route 374, which traverses east all the way to US 285. Alamosa is a home rule municipality and the county seat of Alamosa County, Colorado, United States. The city population was 9,806 at the 2020 United States Census. The city is the commercial center of the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado, and is the home of Adams State University. History Alamosa was established in May 1878 by the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad and quickly became an important rail center. Alamosa was the terminus of the D&RG until 1881, when the line was extended to Monte Vista. State Highway 15 in the U.S. state of Colorado is a north–south, then east–west, state highway in the San Luis Valley region of Southern Colorado. It connects the two towns of Monte Vista and La Jara. There is a gap in the route. Route description SH 15 begins at a concurrency between US 285 and US 160. After heading south for about , at the Rio Grande-Conejos county line, there exists an gap filled in by Conejos County Route 6. After the gap, SH 15 reappears in Centro and heads east to pass through Capulin, cross over the La Jara Creek, and end at US 285, north of La Jara.
