Cologno Nord (Milan Metro)
Cologno Nord is a suburban station on Milan Metro Line 2, Line 2 of the Milan Metro in the municipality of Cologno Monzese. History The station was opened 7 June 1981 with the opening of the Cologno Monzese branch from Cascina Gobba (Milan Metro), Cascina Gobba. Between 9 July 2010 and 18 December 2011 Inaugurate le nuove strutture di accesso ai disabili nella stazione di Cologno Nord the station was renovated. In particular, there have been improvements in the signs and four elevators installed. In general, the station was adapted for people with disabilities during that renovation. Line 2 (''Linea Due'' in Italian), is a subway line serving Milan, Italy, operated by ATM as part of the Milan Metro. It is also called the Green Line, (''Linea Verde'' in Italian), as it is visually identified by green signs. The line runs from the southern to the north-eastern neighborhoods passing through the city centre, serving the north-eastern metropolitan area with two different branches. Cologno Monzese ( ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan in the Italy, Italian region of Lombardy, located about northeast of Milan. The population increased substantially after World War II, when many people from Southern Italy settled here (especially from Apulia). After being subject for a long time to the influence exerted by San Maurizio al Lambro (which is now part of the municipality as a hamlet) Cologno received the honorary title of city with a presidential decree on September 19, 1996. Cascina Gobba (Milan Metro)
Cascina Gobba is a station on Line 2 of the Milan Metro. The station is located on Via Padova at the west side of the A51 Milan bypass road. This is beside the major highway interchange known as ''Cascina Gobba'', which is the main vehicular transportation hub of northeast Milan, Italy. The line branches here to terminate at either Cologno Nord or Gessate. The station takes its name from Cascina Gobba, a nearby rural village. MeLA, a fully automated people mover opened in 1999, connects the station to the San Raffaele Hospital.
