Colm O'Driscoll
Colm O'Driscoll (born 9 June 1988) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who used to plays as a left wing-forward for the Cork senior team and currently coaches Ilen Rovers. Born in Caheragh, County Cork, O'Driscoll first arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of sixteen when he first linked up with the Cork minor team, before later joining the under-21 and junior sides. He made his senior debut during the 2014 championship. Since then O'Driscoll has become a regular member of the starting fifteen. At club level O'Driscoll plays with Tadhg Mac Cárthaigh's. O'Driscoll's brothers, Brian and Kevin, as well as his father, Gene, have all played for Cork. Tadhg McCarthaigh's GAA
Tadhg MacCarthaigh GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Caheragh in Cork, Ireland. This is a Gaelic football only club, with no hurling played. The club in 2008 decided to start an under-12 hurling team, so the club may become a dual club in the future. The club is a member of the Carbery division of Cork GAA. History The Tadgh MacCarthaigh GAA Club was founded in 1954. The first playing fields were in Sonny O’Driscoll’s and Dick Kingston’s of Corliss. The club won its first West Cork Junior B Championship in 1958. Since then, their successes included Junior 2 titles in 1968 and 1975 beating Ardfield on both occasions and in 1991 when they beat Kilbrittain. The club has had successes twice in the Under 21 B Championship, beating Timoleague in 1982 and St. Colum's in 1990. All-Ireland Junior Football Championship
The All-Ireland Junior Football Championship is a GAA competition involving four Junior Gaelic football inter-county teams. Prior to a change in competition structure in 2021, the competition was previously for all Junior Gaelic football inter-county teams in Ireland. In this previous format, the definition of what constituted a Junior player differed from county to county. In some, the junior team was the second team after the senior team. This meant that any players who had not played with the senior team could play with the junior team. In others, such as Cork and Kerry, players could only be chosen from clubs that played in junior or intermediate grades. These counties could not choose players from senior clubs, even if they were not on the senior county team. When a team won this championship, it had to pick a new team for the following year. Munster Minor Football Championship
The Munster Minor Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1928 for the youngest competitors (under-18) in the province of Munster in Ireland. It is currently sponsored by Electric Ireland and therefore officially known as the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Football Minor Championship. The series of games are played during the summer months with the Munster final currently being played on the second Sunday in July. The minor final provides the curtain-raiser to the senior final. The winning team is presented with the Tadhg Crowley Cup. This was presented by Munster Council in 1990 to commemorate Tadhg Crowley, who was elected as Munster Council Treasurer in 1968 and served until his death in December 1989. Munster Junior Football Championship
The Munster Junior Football Championship is a gaelic football tournament between the six counties of Munster: Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Clare and Waterford. It is the third-tier county teams playing off in a single-elimination tournament with 2 quarter finals instead of 4 (as of 2014). The cup was first given to the winners in 1957.
