Darren Michael Collison (born August 23, 1987) is an American professional basketball player who is a free agent. Collison played four seasons of college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. He earned All-Pac-10 conference honors three times, and won the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award his senior year as the top college player standing or under. He was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets in the first round with the 21st overall pick of the 2009 NBA draft. George Collison (1772–1847) was an English Congregationalist and educator associated with Hackney Academy or Hackney College, which became part of New College London—itself part of the University of London. Early life Collison was born in Beverley, Yorkshire, on 6 January 1772, and became articled to a solicitor in Bridlington. Taking a keen interest in the local Independent Chapel, he became an early Sunday school teacher, and in 1792 decided to give up law and train full-time as a minister at Hoxton College near London. In 1797 he settled close to London in the village of Walthamstow in Essex to carry out pastoral duties, becoming the minister oMarsh Street Congregational Chapel in whose grounds he was buried in 1847. Harold Collison
Harold Francis Collison, Baron Collison, CBE, (10 May 1909 – 29 December 1995) was a British trade unionist. Born in the East End of London, Collison grew up in Gloucester and attended the Crypt School, before working on a farm from the age of seventeen. He joined the National Union of Agricultural Workers and was also active in the Labour Party. From 1946, he worked at the union headquarters in London, and in 1953 he was elected General Secretary. In 1960, he became President of the International Federation of Plantation, Agricultural and Allied Workers, serving until 1976, and he was also a member of the executive of the International Labour Organization. In the 1961 New Year Honours he was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE). Jack David Collison (born 2 October 1988) is a Welsh football manager and former player. He is the head coach for Huntsville City in MLS Next Pro. Collison began his career with Peterborough United's youth system in 1998, before moving to Cambridge United in 2000, where he stayed for five years. William Henry Collison (1847–1922), also known as W. H. Collison, was an Anglican missionary among First Nations people in coastal British Columbia, Canada. Life Birth records are unclear as to whether Collison was born in County Armagh, Ireland. His date of birth was 12 November 1847. After first apprenticing as a warehouseman, he attended the Church of Ireland Normal College, after which he served as the superintendent of the Buckingham House Free School for Boys in Cork, Ireland.
