Collins Fai
Collins Ngoran Fai (born 13 August 1992) is a Cameroonian professional footballer who plays for the Cameroon national team. Mainly a right back, he can also operate as a left back. Early life Collins Fai was born and raised in Bamenda, a city of the English-speaking part of Cameroon. He spent his entire youth career at local PWD Bamenda. Club career Aged 19, Fai joined the Cameroonian top team of Union Douala. In 2013, Fai joined European football for the first time as he signed with the Romanian team of FC Dinamo București. In January 2016, Fai joined Standard Liège in Belgium. On 17 March 2018, Fai played as Standard Liège beat Genk 1–0 in extra time to win the 2018 Belgian Cup Final and qualify for the UEFA Europa League. On 29 January 2022, Fai joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Tai. Cameroon National Football Team
The Cameroon national football team (French: ''équipe du Cameroun de football''), also known as the Indomitable Lions (French: ''les lions indomptables''), represents Cameroon in men's international football. It is controlled by the Fédération Camerounaise de Football, a member of FIFA and its African confederation CAF. The team has qualified for the FIFA World Cup eight times, more than any other African team, and four times in a row between 1990 and 2002. However, the team has only made it out of the group stage once. They were the first African team to reach the quarter-final of the World Cup in 1990, losing to England in extra time. They have also won five Africa Cup of Nations. 2017 Africa Cup Of Nations
The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (abbreviated as AFCON 2017 or CAN 2017), known as the Total 2017 Africa Cup of Nations for sponsorship reasons, was the 31st edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the biennial international men's football championship of Africa organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF). The tournament was scheduled to be hosted by Libya, until CAF rescinded its hosting rights in August 2014 due to the Second Libyan civil war. The tournament was instead hosted by Gabon. This event was also part of the Africa Cup of Nations 60th Anniversary. Cameroon won their fifth title after defeating seven-time champions Egypt 2–1 in the final. The Belgian Pro League,(officially the Jupiler Pro League due to sponsorship reasons with Jupiler), is the top league competition for association football clubs in Belgium. Contested by 18 clubs since the 2020–21 season and reduced to 16 teams from the 2023–24 season onwards, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Challenger Pro League. The Liga I (; ''First League''), also spelled as Liga 1, is a Romanian professional league for men's association football clubs. Currently sponsored by betting company Superbet, it is officially known as the SuperLiga. It is the country's top football competition, being contested by 16 clubs which take part in a promotion and relegation system with the Liga II.
