Colle San Magno
Colle San Magno (locally ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Frosinone in the Italy, Italian region Lazio, located about southeast of Rome and about southeast of Frosinone. Its name refers to St. Magnus of Anagni. The town was founded in the 11th century, and it was later ruled by the D'Avalos and, from the 16th century, by the Boncompagni. In 1796 it was acquired by the Kingdom of Naples. Attractions include the medieval castle, the old asphalt mines and the church of S.M. Assunta. The province of Frosinone () is a province in the Lazio region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Frosinone. It has an area of and a total population of 493,605 (2016). The province contains 91 ''comuni'' (: ''comune''), listed in the ''comuni'' of the province of Frosinone. The province was established by royal decree on 6 December 1926 with territories belonging to the then provinces of Rome and Caserta. Frosinone (; local dialect: ) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Italian region of Lazio, administrative seat of the province of Frosinone. It is about southeast of Rome, close to the Rome-Naples A1 Motorway. The city is the main city of the Valle Latina ("Latin Valley"), an Italian geographical and historical region that extends from south of Rome to Cassino. Until the 19th century, it was a village with a rural vocation, while from the 20th century, it became an important industrial and commercial centre. Boncompagni
The House of Boncompagni is a princely family of the Italian nobility which settled in Bologna in around the 14th century, but was probably originally from Umbria. In 1572 Ugo Boncompagni was elected pope, taking the name Pope Gregory XIII, Gregory XIII, and the family prospered. In 1579, the pope bought the Duchy of Sora from the Della rovere family for his son Giacomo Boncompagni, Giacomo, whose descendants reigned there as dukes until 1796. Later they also obtained the Principality of Piombino, following the marriage of Gregorio II Boncompagni with Ippolita Ludovisi, princess of Piombino and last of her dynasty. The Kingdom of Naples (; ; ), officially the Kingdom of Sicily, was a state that ruled the part of the Italian Peninsula south of the Papal States between 1282 and 1816. It was established by the War of the Sicilian Vespers (1282–1302). Until then, the island of Sicily and southern Italy had constituted the "Kingdom of Sicily". When the island of Sicily revolted and was conquered by the Crown of Aragon, it become a separate kingdom also called the Kingdom of Sicily.
