Colin Tincknell
Colin Richard Tincknell (born 8 August 1953) is a former Australian politician in Western Australian. He was elected to the Western Australian Legislative Council at the 2017 Western Australian state election, 2017 state election, as a member in Electoral region of South West, South West Region. His term ran from 2017 to 2021. Tincknell is now the CEO of an Aboriginal Corporation, before this he was a corporate social responsibility manager for a number of mining companies before his time in the Western Australian Parliament. He was the first CEO of AFL New Zealand, from 2002 to 2004. He played for the Claremont Football Club in the 1970s and 1980s. 2017 Western Australian State Election
The 2017 Western Australian state election was held on Saturday 11 March 2017 to elect members to the Parliament of Western Australia, including all 59 seats in the Legislative Assembly and all 36 seats in the Legislative Council. The eight-and-a-half-year two-term incumbent Liberal– WA National government, led by Premier Colin Barnett, was defeated in a landslide by the Labor opposition, led by Opposition Leader Mark McGowan. Perth Football League
The Perth Football League is an Australian rules football competition based in Perth, Western Australia. It is the largest community Australian rules football competition in Western Australia. History The competition began in 1922 with five teams as the Mercantile Football Association (MFA). The MFA changed its name in 1924 to the Perth Districts Football Association and then, in 1929, to the Western Australian Amateur Football Association. It changed to Western Australian Amateur Football League (WAAFL) in 1971. In 2019, the league rebranded as the Perth Football League. University are the most successful club, with 20 A-grade premierships and 96 overall, as of the conclusion of the 2020 season. The West Australian Football League (WAFL "waffle" or "W-A-F-L") is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia.
