Colin Suggett
Colin Suggett (born 30 December 1948) is an English former professional football player and manager. He played as a midfielder in the Football League for Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, Norwich City and Newcastle United. Born in Chester-le-Street, Suggett began his career as an apprentice at Sunderland, with whom he twice won the FA Youth Cup. He represented England Schools, and later the England Youth team. He moved to West Bromwich Albion in July 1969 for a club record fee of £100,000. He then joined Norwich for a £70,000 fee in February 1973. He was voted Norwich City player of the year in 1975. He later worked as a youth coach at Sunderland's fierce rivals Newcastle United, coaching such players as Neil McDonald. Chester-le-Street
Chester-le-Street () is a market town in County Durham, England. It is located around north of Durham and is close to Newcastle. The town holds markets on Saturdays. In 2021, the town had a population of 23,555. The town's history is ancient; records date to a Roman-built fort called Concangis. The Roman fort is the ''Chester'' (from the Latin ''castra'') of the town's name; the ''Street'' refers to the paved Roman road that ran north–south through the town. The parish church of St Mary and St Cuthbert is where the body of St Cuthbert remained for 112 years (from 883 to 995 AD), before being transferred to Durham Cathedral. Willie McFaul
William Stewart McFaul (born 1 October 1943), known as Willie or Iam McFaul, is a Northern Irish former football player and now coach. He spent most of his career with Newcastle United. Playing career McFaul was born in Coleraine. He joined Newcastle United from Linfield in his native Northern Ireland in 1966 after impressing in a friendly match. It took two years for him to establish himself as Newcastle's goalkeeper, a position he held until after the 1974–75 season. A notable moment in his career came when he helped Newcastle to the 1974 FA Cup Final at Wembley. Newcastle were beaten 3–0 by Liverpool, whose first two goals were from shots by Kevin Keegan and Steve Heighway that McFaul got his fingertips to but was unable to stop. Carlisle ( , ; from ) is a city in the Cumberland district of Cumbria, England. Carlisle's early history is marked by the establishment of a settlement called Luguvalium to serve forts along Hadrian's Wall in Roman Britain.
