Colin Scott (footballer)
Colin George Scott (born 19 May 1970 in Glasgow) is a retired Scottish footballer, who played as a goalkeeper. Career He joined Rangers from junior side Dalry Thistle in 1986 and mainly spent his time as a backup to Andy Goram. Whilst at Rangers he had loan spells at Brentford and Airdrieonians. He made a total of 13 appearances for Rangers and joined Hamilton Academical in 1996. Then he had spells at Raith Rovers and Clydebank. Scott next joined the club where he stayed longest and played his most first team games, Dumfries club Queen of the South, in October 2000. Scott made a vital penalty save against Hamilton Accies in the run in to Queens' 2001–02 Second Division championship. Palmerston Park is a association football, football stadium on Terregles Street in Dumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. It is the home ground of Scottish League One club Queen of the South F.C., Queen of the South, who have played there since 1919. John Connolly (football Manager)
John Connolly (born 13 June 1950) is a Scottish former football player and manager who played as an outside left. Connolly played for St Johnstone, Everton, Birmingham City, Newcastle United, Hibernian, Gateshead and Blyth Spartans during an 18-year playing career. Connolly earned one full international cap for Scotland. Connolly became a player-manager with Blyth Spartans and then managed Whitley Bay, Queen of the South and St Johnstone. Playing career St Johnstone Connolly was born in Barrhead, Scotland and began his football career as a junior with Glasgow United before turning professional with St Johnstone in January 1968. Connolly played in the 1969 Scottish League Cup Final at Hampden Park versus Celtic, who were on their way to their second European Cup Final in four seasons.
