Colin Douglas (footballer)
Colin Francis Douglas (9 September 1962) is a former Scottish footballer who played as a centre forward and right back for Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United. He is second in the list of players who have made the appearances in all competitions for Doncaster behind James Coppinger. Playing career Youth Douglas attended St Joseph's Academy in Kilmarnock. He began as wing half playing for Kilmarnock Colts, then in February 1977 moving to Ayr United. He was at Bellfield Boys Club before moving to Celtic in 1980. Celtic His first senior club was Celtic, then managed by Billy McNeil. He only played one game for them on 6 October 1980 in the semi-final of the Glasgow Cup against Queen's Park where he scored his first senior goal in the 76th minute in a 2–0 victory. Hurlford (Scottish Gaelic: ''Baile Àtha Cliath'') is a village in East Ayrshire, Scotland. It has a population of 4,968. Hurlford's former names include Whirlford and Hurdleford. The village was named Whirlford as a result of a ford crossing the River Irvine east of Hurlford Cross, near Shawhill. It shares its name in Gaelic, Baile Àtha Cliath ("The Ford of the Hurdles") with the Irish capital Dublin. The census locality is called Hurlford and Crookedholm. Belle Vue (football)
Belle Vue was a football stadium in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England, that served as the home ground of Doncaster Rovers from 1922 to 2007. The ground was renowned for having the biggest pitch in the United Kingdom, at long, and wide. In addition to the size of the pitch, it was considered to have one of the best playing surfaces due to the fertile soil, providing a perfect pitch. The ground was affectionately known as "Old Belle Vue" (OBV) by fans and at its peak had a total capacity of 40,000. History The ground was opened by Charles E. The Northern Premier League is an English football league that was founded in 1968. It has four divisions: the Premier Division (which stands at level 7 of the English football league system), Division One East, Division One West and Division One Midlands (which stand at level 8). Dave Mackay
David Craig Mackay (14 November 1934 – 2 March 2015) was a Scottish football player and manager. Mackay was best known for a highly successful playing career with Heart of Midlothian, the Double-winning Tottenham Hotspur side of 1961, and winning the league with Derby County as a manager. He also represented Scotland 22 times, and was selected for their 1958 FIFA World Cup squad. Mackay tied with Tony Book of Manchester City for the Football Writers' Association's Footballer of the Year award in 1969 and was later listed by the Football League in their " 100 Legends", as well as being an inaugural inductee to both the English and Scottish Football Halls of Fame. Dave Cusack
David Stephen Cusack (born 6 June 1956) is an English former footballer and manager whose last position before retirement in 2015 was director of Essex Senior League club Basildon United. A central defender, he made over 500 appearances in a career spanning 16 years. Early life Born in Thurcroft, as a child Cusack attended school in Thurcroft and later went to Wales High School. Career Cusack began his career with Sheffield Wednesday, making his way through the club's youth system and also captaining the reserve side. After making 95 league appearances for the side, he moved to Southend United in 1978 for a then club record £50,000, where he would win the Fourth Division championship in 1981.
