Coleraine is one of the seven district electoral areas (DEA) in Causeway Coast and Glens, Northern Ireland. The district elects six members to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council and contains the wards of Churchland, Mountsandel, Quarry, University, Waterside and Windy Hall. Causeway Coast And Glens Borough Council
Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is a local authority in Northern Ireland that was established on 1 April 2015. It covers most of the northern coast of Northern Ireland and replaced Ballymoney Borough Council, Coleraine Borough Council, Limavady Borough Council and Moyle District Council. The area covered by the council has a population of 141,745 residents as at the 2021 census. The first elections to the authority were on 2014 Northern Ireland local elections, 22 May 2014 and it acted as a shadow authority, prior to the creation of the Causeway Coast and Glens district on 1 April 2015. East Londonderry (UK Parliament Constituency)
East Londonderry is a constituency in Northern Ireland represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament. Its current Member of Parliament (MP) has been Gregory Campbell of the DUP since 2001. Constituency profile This is a mostly rural constituency stretching from the hill country of the Sperrin Mountains in the south to the Atlantic coast in the north; and from the suburbs of Derry city in the west to the River Bann in the east. The constituency's two main towns are Limavady and Coleraine; other urban areas include the upland town of Dungiven; and the coastal resorts of Portstewart and Portrush (the latter in fact lies in Country Antrim). The second election to Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council, part of the Northern Ireland local elections on 2 May 2019, returned 40 members to the council via Single Transferable Vote.
