''Coke Wave'' is a collaborative mixtape by rappers French Montana and Max B. The mixtape was announced in 2008 and released on February 6, 2009. It features guest appearances from Mak Mustard, Dame Grease, Meeno, E-Snaps and Maino. Producers on the project include Dame Grease, J. Cardim, Young Los and Rome. Critical reception ''Coke Wave'' received mixed reviews from music critics. While initially met with skepticism, it has managed to garner a sizeable cult following among listeners. David Drake of Complex magazine commended the "strategic alignment" between French and Max B, and complimented Max's songwriting and "slurred, sing-song style", comparing it to a "slick, casual delivery of a drunken street poet." French Montana
Karim Kharbouch (Moroccan Arabic, Arabic: IPA pronunciation, [kæɾiːm χɑɾbuːʃ]; born November 9, 1984), better known by his stage name French Montana, is a Moroccan-American rapper. Born and raised in Morocco, he immigrated to New York City with his family at the age of 13 and began his career as a Battle rap, battle rapper in the early 2000s — under the name Young French. Kharbouch first gained recognition hosting the New York City-tailored DVD series ''Cocaine City'' during the 2000s, which centered around interviews of hip hop figures. I Want You (Marvin Gaye Song)
"I Want You" is a song written by Leon Ware and Arthur "T-Boy" Ross and performed by American singer and songwriter Marvin Gaye. It was released as a single in 1976 on his fourteenth studio album of the same name (1976) on his Tamla label. The song introduced a change in musical styles for Gaye, who before then had been recording songs with a funk edge. "I Want You", among other similar songs, gave him a disco audience. Ware, who produced the song alongside Gaye, also was attributed with the single's success. Branford Marsalis (born August 26, 1960) is an American saxophonist, composer, and bandleader. While primarily known for his work in jazz as the leader of the Branford Marsalis Quartet, he also performs frequently as a soloist with classical ensembles and has led the group Buckshot LeFonque. Charley Wingate (born May 21, 1978), better known by his stage name Max B (short for Max Biggaveli), is an American rapper and singer. He is best known for his solo ''Public Domain'' and ''Million Dollar Baby'' series of mixtapes, and introducing the term "wavy" as a slang in popular lexicon. He made his mixtape debut in 2006, and signed a recording deal with fellow Harlem-based rapper Jim Jones (rapper), Jim Jones' label/group ByrdGang.
