Coke Studio Pakistan (season 9)
The ninth season of the Pakistani music television series ''Coke Studio Pakistan'' commenced airing in Pakistan on 13 August 2016, concluded on 24 September 2016 and contained seven episodes. Season 9 aired Fridays (digitally) and Saturdays (televised), on various timings and channels across the country. The Strings and Coca-Cola returned as an executive producers, while for the first time in series history, season was composed by six music directors, namely Noori, Shani Arshad, Jaffer Zaidi, Faakhir Mehmood, Shiraz Uppal, and Shuja Haider under the supervision of Strings. Qawwali singer Amjad Sabri marked his debut and final appearance with this season shortly before his assassination on 22 June 2016. Kashif Ali (born November 4, 1992, né: Babar) is a Pakistani singer-songwriter and musician. He rose to fame in 2013 as a finalist on the first season of '' Pakistan Idol'', coming in fourth place. Junaid Khan (born as Junaid Khan Niazi 2 November 1981) is a Pakistani actor, producer and singer-songwriter. Since the early 2000s he's the lead vocalist of the Lahore-based rock band Call, which has released two commercially successful albums, ''Jilawatan'' and ''Dhoom''. Javed Bashir
Javed Bashir ( Punjabi, ; born 8 August 1973) is a Pakistani playback singer who mainly sings classical songs. Javed has sung songs for many Bollywood movies including ''Cocktail'', ''Kahaani'', ''Rush'', ''Bombay Talkies'', '' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag'',''Once Upon ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara!'' and Bajirao Mastani. Jabar Abbas
Jabar Abbas is a Pakistani singer-songwriter and musician who started his career in 1997 as child artist. He gained notability during his presidential tenure of Nazir Ahmed Musical Society at Government College University, Lahore from 20032007. Haroon Shahid is a Pakistani musician and actor. He was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Lahore-based pop-rock band ''Symt'' from 2010 to 2016. Faakhir
Faakhir Mehmood (; born 20 April 1973) is a Pakistani actor, singer, keyboradist, composer and music producer. He started out his career with the Pakistani musical group Awaz. However, due to conflicts of interest, the band split in 2000 and they all went to become solo artists. The band Awaz also consisted of well known musician Haroon. Early life and career Faakhir attended the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore. During his university years, he met another young singer, Haroon.
