Coi (album)
''Coi'' is the second studio album by American rapper and singer Coi Leray. It was released through Uptown and Republic Records on June 23, 2023. The album contains guest appearances from David Guetta, Saucy Santana, Giggs, Lola Brooke, the late James Brown, and Skillibeng. Production was handled by Leray and Guetta themselves, Johnny Goldstein, Akil King, Feli Ferraro, Tommy Brown, Taylor Hill, London on da Track, Cubeatz, Luis Bacqué, and Rockin wit Slime. The release of the album was preceded by four singles: "Players", "Bops", "My Body", "Run It Up" and "Make My Day". It serves as the follow-up to Leray's previous album, ''Trendsetter'' (2022). James Brown
James Joseph Brown (May 3, 1933 – December 25, 2006) was an American singer, dancer, musician, record producer and bandleader. The central progenitor of funk music and a major figure of 20th century music, he is often referred to by the honorific nicknames "the Hardest Working Man in Show Business", "Godfather of Soul", "Mr. Dynamite", and "Soul Brother No. 1". In a career that lasted more than 50 years, he influenced the development of several music genres. Jo Bogaert
Jo Bogaert (born 1956) is a Belgian musician, songwriter, and record producer. Working under his own name and a long list of pseudonyms (usually Thomas de Quincey or a variation thereof), he is the man behind Technotronic and is considered to have been of the most successful artists in the new beat genre. Early life and career Bogaert was born in 1956 in Aalst, Belgium. His father ran an electronics shop. Bogaert studied philosophy and played in a number of bands in different genres, including blues and new wave. He released one album under his own name in 1984, ''None of Them Are Green''. In 1987, he wrote the soundtrack for the theatre production ''Riot 88''. Ya Kid K
Ya Kid K (born Manuela Barbara Kamosi Moaso Djogi, 26 January 1972) is a Congolese–Belgian hip hop recording artist. She was the rapper for the dance/house act Technotronic. Her sister is Karoline 'Leki' Kamosi. Early life At the age of 11, Djogi moved to Belgium, later moving to Chicago (where she explored hip-hop, and the emerging sounds of house music), and later moved to Dallas, Texas. Music career After moving back to Belgium from the US, Ya Kid K helped form a hip hop label called Fresh Beat Productions. She was part of the dance project Technotronic, which debuted with a major worldwide hit in 1989, " Pump Up the Jam". John Oates
John William Oates (born April 7, 1948) is an American musician, best known as half of the rock and soul duo Hall & Oates, with Daryl Hall. He has played rock, R&B, and soul music, acting as a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and record producer. Although Oates' main role in the duo is being the guitarist, he also co-wrote many of the top 10 songs that they recorded, including: " Sara Smile" (referring to Hall's then-girlfriend, Sara Allen), " She's Gone", and " Out of Touch", as well as "You Make My Dreams", "I Can't Go for That (No Can Do)", " Maneater", and "Adult Education".
