Corneliu Zelea Codreanu (; born Corneliu Codreanu, according to his birth certificate; 13 September 1899 – 30 November 1938) was a Romanian politician of the far right, the founder and charismatic leader of the Iron Guard or ''The Legion of the Archangel Michael'' (also known as the ''Legionary Movement''), an ultranationalist and violently antisemitic organization active throughout most of the interwar period. Corneliu Ioan Codreanu (born 11 February 1977) is a Romanian former football right back. Codreanu played in his career mainly for FCM Bacău, but he also spent some periods at teams like: Laminorul Roman, UTA Arad, Aerostar Bacău or Botoşani. In 2011 Codreanu signed with Unirea Mircești, a lower leagues side from Iași County and automatically becoming an important name of the small team. He won afterwards two times Liga IV with Unirea, in 2015 and 2017, but lost in both times the Liga III promotion play-off, in 2015 against Voința Răucești and in 2017 against Oțelul Galați. Ion Codreanu (23 June 1891–8 January 1960) was a Romanian major general during World War II. Biography He started his education at the elementary school in Bălăbănești, and then at the Gheorghe Roșca Codreanu High School in Bârlad, graduating in 1910. Codreanu attended the Military School in Târgoviște from 1910 to 1912, graduating with the rank of second lieutenant, and then fought in the Second Balkan War and in World War I. He advanced in rank to lieutenant colonel in 1933, and to colonel in 1938. In 1941, he was first the director of the Higher Cavalry Department, then Commanding Officer of the 6th Cavalry Division. He became Head of the Historical Service of the General Staff and following that, the Head of the Royal Military Household in 1942. Mihai Codreanu (; July 25, 1876 – October 23, 1957) was a Romanian poet, particularly noted for his sonnets. A native and lifelong resident of Iași, he published his first volume of verse in 1901, followed by another two years later that solidified his reputation. Aside from another book of sonnets in 1914 and two during the 1920s, he authored three highly successful translations of French plays. He also edited a series of newspapers and wrote widely for an array of literary reviews. Attracted to the stage from early on, he led and reformed the main theatre in his city for several years after World War I, and during the 1930s presided over the arts school in Iași. Club career Teofil Codreanu, nicknamed ''Parpală'' was born on 1 February 1941 in Bucharest, Romania and started to play football in 1956 at junior level at CCA București. In 1959 he went to play for Rapid București where on 18 March 1962 he made his Divizia A debut under coach Ion Mihăilescu in a 1–1 against Minerul Lupeni.
