Coast Guard Station Ponce de Leon Inlet is a United States Coast Guard boat station located in New Smyrna Beach, Florida and is part of the Coast Guard 7th District, Sector Jacksonville. While in the late 1980s, the crew consisted of only 4 men, the crew at Coast Guard Station Ponce de Leon Inlet now is made of 31 active duty and 15 United States Coast Guard Reserve personnel. New Smyrna Beach, Florida
New Smyrna Beach is a city in Volusia County, Florida, United States, located on the central east coast of the state, with the Atlantic Ocean to the east. Its population is 30,142 in 2020 by the United States Census Bureau. The downtown section of the city is located on the west side of the Indian River and the Indian River Lagoon system. Cape Canaveral Lighthouse
The Cape Canaveral Light is a historic lighthouse on the east coast of the U.S. state of Florida. The light was established in 1848 to warn ships of the dangerous shoals that lie off its coast. It is located inside the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and managed by the Space Launch Delta 45 of the U.S. Space Force with the assistance of the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse Foundation. It is the only fully operational lighthouse owned by the United States Space Force. The current lighthouse tower was first erected and lit in 1868 then relocated further inland between 1893-1894. There are currently many stations located throughout the country along the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, Pacific Ocean and Great Lakes.
