Clubland TV
Clubland TV is a British satellite free-to-air, cable and subscription Dance/Electronica genre music channel. It is based from the Clubland compilation albums. Clubland TV airs various sub-genres of dance/EDM from the 90's to the late 2010s, such as electronica, techno, trance, Eurodance, house, garage & dance-pop. Clubland TV is channel 354 on Sky, and channel 292 on Virgin. Clubland TV is available on the Astra 2G satellite network, on the Ku band. History The channel launched on 28 January 2008. As of March 2008, the channel had five times the viewing ratings than its main competition MTV Dance. As of July 2019, the channel still dominates the ratings over its main rival MTV Dance (now Club MTV) that was closed on 20 July 2020, making Clubland TV the only UK-based dance channel until the launch of That's Dance. Ku Band
The Ku band () is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum in the microwave range of frequencies from 12 to 18  gigahertz (GHz). The symbol is short for "K-under" (originally ), because it is the lower part of the original NATO K band, which was split into three bands (Ku, K, and Ka) because of the presence of the atmospheric water vapor resonance peak at 22.24 GHz, (1.35 cm) which made the center unusable for long range transmission. Freeview is the United Kingdom's sole Digital terrestrial television in the United Kingdom, digital terrestrial television platform. Now Rock is a British free-to-air music television channel, focusing exclusively on playing rock music for 10 months of the year, with a sister channel called Now 90s featuring rock hits from the 1990s available in other territories. For the other two months, Now Christmas takes over with their Christmas service not only playing hits from the 1990s. The channel originally launched on 23 November 2010 as WTF (Weekly Top Forty). TVPlayer is a United Kingdom Internet television service owned by international digital distribution company Alchimie. It provides access to free live television channel streams using a web browser or application software made for mobile devices. Starz TV
Starz TV (formerly Fizz TV) was a British free-to-air music channel, owned by TRACE Group. History Fizz TV was launched on 24 January 2005 on Sky, although the channel began test transmissions on 10 January. The output of the station was music videos from a range of genres that were popular in the charts. The channel also had a heavy interactive texting element, through the viewers being able to send in text messages and pictures that were shown on screen. The parent company of Channel U and Fizz TV, Video Interactive Television, went into voluntary liquidation at the beginning of February 2009, before being purchased by Mushroom TV.
