Clube Atlético Portal, commonly known as CAP Uberlândia, is a Brazilian football club based in Uberlândia, Minas Gerais state. History The club was founded in 2010 by Guillherme Ferriera and the former footballer Gilson Batata, who was also the club's first head coach and he also played a friendly game for the club. The club competed in 2011 in the Copa Amvap. The club debuted in professional football competitions on August 6, 2011, in a 2011 Campeonato Mineiro Segunda Divisão game against Araxá, at Estádio Parque do Sabiá. CAP and Araxá drew 1-1. Most of the CAP's players previously defended clubs such as Uberlândia Esporte Clube, Votuporanguense and Plácido de Castro. Estádio Parque Do Sabiá
The Estádio Municipal Parque do Sabiá, also known as Parque do Sabiá ("Thrush Park"), is a multi-use stadium in Uberlândia, Brazil. It is currently used mostly for football matches. It is the home ground of Uberlândia Esporte Clube and Clube Atlético Portal, and is the biggest stadium in Minas Gerais state countryside. The stadium was built in 1982 and was able to hold 53,350 people. It is owned by the Uberlândia City Hall. History The stadium was inaugurated on May 27, 1982, as Parque do Sabiá (meaning Thrush's Park). In 1995, the stadium was renamed to Estádio Municipal João Havelange (João Havelange Municipal Stadium), after a suggestion of the city councilor Leonídio Bouças. Gilson Batata
Gilson Pires da Silva (born 27 September 1967), better known as Gilson Batata, is a Brazilian former professional footballer and manager, who played as a forward. He is known in Brazilian football as "O Andarilho da Bola" ('), due to the huge number of clubs he played for over the years. Career Gilson Batata began his career in the youth sectors of União Barbarense, in 1982. His first professional contract was with GE Catanduvense, a club he played for in 1986 and 1987, and in 1988, at Atlético Goianiense, he was state champion for the first time. He had a brief spell at Goiás and in 1990, he ended up being traded to Atlético Madrid, becoming part of the club's B team. The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916.
