Clube Atlético Mineiro (youth)
The Clube Atlético Mineiro Youth Squads () are the youth academy of Clube Atlético Mineiro, a Brazilian football club based in Belo Horizonte. The youth sector is composed of various squads divided by age groups. All the youth teams currently train at the club's main training ground, ''Cidade do Galo'', located in the municipality of Vespasiano. The U-20 squad currently plays in the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-20, the Copa do Brasil Sub-20 and the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior. Atlético Mineiro's Youth Squads of all categories have won trophies at national and international level. Some of the senior members of the U20 team also eventually play for Atlético Mineiro's first squad. As of June 2021, the current head coach of the U-20 squad (''Júnior'') Marcos Valadares. Cidade Do Galo
Cidade do Galo ("Rooster City") is Clube Atlético Mineiro's training ground, located in Vespasiano, a municipality adjacent to Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Construction of the first training pitch started in 1982, but for almost three decades the facility was gradually improved, with Clube Atlético Mineiro's first squad training in the grounds for the first time in 2001, and the official inauguration happening in 2006. Cidade do Galo has been selected as the best training facility in Brazil and one of the best in the world. History Acquisition of the land where the ground is located started in 1980, with purchase of an adjacent area and celebration of a partnership with company Precon for the construction of the main buildings happening in 1984. Lincoln Cássio de Souza Soares (born 22 January 1979), commonly known as Lincoln, is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Career Atlético Mineiro Lincoln was born in São Brás do Suaçuí. Jemerson de Jesus Nascimento (born 24 August 1992), known simply as Jemerson, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Grêmio.
