Club Social y Deportivo Jalisco, A.C. is a Mexican Association football, football team. The team was founded in 1970, played in the Liga MX, Primera Division Mexicana and Ascenso MX, Second Division Mexicana and returned in 2015. History In 1970 a group of sugar businessmen acquired C.D. Oro and renamed it as Club Jalisco. The team stayed 10 seasons in the Liga MX, First Division from 1970 until 1980. In its trajectory, the team could never reach the championship phase. In their debut season in 1970-71 they ended second place just 5 points below Deportivo Toluca, Toluca, who impeded them to reach the final against Club América, América. In 1971-72 season they ended 9 points away from qualifying to the playoffs, and in 1972-73 a 6th place in their group began to reflect a sluggish performance of the players. Club Deportivo Oro is a Mexican professional football club based in Ciudad Guzmán, Jalisco, that competes in Liga TDP, the fourth level division of Mexican football. The Serie A has 38 teams (5 Liga de Expansión MX Reserve Teams and 33 Serie A Teams) divided into three groups. For the 2024–25 season, it will be a return of a short tournament format (Apertura & Clausura) consisting of 11 group matches and 3 inter-group matches (14 total) played home & away and the liguilla. The top two teams from each group and the two best third places at the end of the season will play in the Liguilla for a spot to play for promotion to Liga de Expansión MX provided that their stadiums meet the requirements to ascend. The Deportivo CAFESSA Jalisco, commonly known as CAFESSA Jalisco, was a Mexican football club based in Guadalajara. The club was founded in 2015, and played in the Serie A of Liga Premier. History Deportivo CAFESSA was founded in 2015 from a Third Division franchise called Cazcanes de Ameca, during its first season it kept the original name. In 2016 it took its current name. Liga TDP is a professional association football league in Mexico and the fourth level of the Mexican football league system. Formerly known as Tercera División de México (1967–2017). It has 223 participating clubs, divided into 17 regional groups by geographic location. In the 2009–10 season, the format of the tournament has been reorganized to a home and away format, which all teams will play in their respective group.
