Club Deportivo Garcilaso
Club Deportivo Garcilaso, most commonly known as Deportivo Garcilaso, or El Garci, is a Peruvian professional football club, based in the city of Cusco. Founded in 1957, the club competes in the Peruvian Primera División, after being promoted by winning the 2022 Copa Perú. Since its appearance it has maintained a strong rivalry with Cienciano, made up of students from the National College of Sciences. This rivalry between both educational institutions transcended football, giving rise to the Cusco Classic. The club was invited to participate in the Copa Presidente de la República in 1970. Since then, the club participated in the Copa Perú until 2023, where they got promoted to the Liga 1 after winning the tournament in 2022. The club plays their home games at Estadio Garcilaso, which they share with city rivals Cienciano and Cusco FC. Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, commonly known as Estadio Garcilaso, is Cusco's principal stadium and the home venue of the local football team Cienciano. The stadium was named after the Peruvian mestizo Inca Garcilaso de la Vega and inaugurated in 1958, with an initial capacity of 30,000. It is owned by the Instituto Peruano del Deporte (''Peruvian Institute of Sport''). The stadium has a current capacity of 45,056. The Estadio Garcilaso is also recognized as one of the most beautiful stadiums in all of South America. This recognition is due to its well-maintained grass and its resistance to the sometimes aggressive and highly variable climate of the city of Cuzco. 2003 Copa Perú
The 2003 Copa Perú season (), the promotion tournament of Peruvian football. The tournament has 5 stages. The first four stages are played as mini-league round-robin tournaments, except for third stage in region IV, which is played as a knockout stage. The final stage features two knockout rounds and a final four-team group stage to determine the two promoted teams. The 2003 Peru Cup started with the District Stage () on February. Inca Garcilaso de la Vega (12 April 1539 – 23 April 1616), born Gómez Suárez de Figueroa and known as El Inca, was a chronicler and writer born in the Viceroyalty of Peru. Sailing to Spain at 21, he was educated informally there, where he lived and worked the rest of his life. 2023 Liga 1 (Peru)
The 2023 Liga 1 de Fútbol Profesional (known as the Liga 1 Betsson 2023 for sponsorship reasons) was the 107th season of the Peruvian Primera División, the highest division of Peruvian football. A total of 19 teams competed in the season, which began on 3 February and ended on 8 November 2023. The season was originally scheduled to begin on 21 January, but the first two matchdays were postponed due to the 2022–2023 Peruvian protests. Defensor La Bocana
Club Deportivo Defensor La Bocana is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Sechura, Piura, Peru. History In the 2013 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the Regional Stage, but was eliminated by Willy Serrato in the semifinals. In the 2014 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage, but was eliminated by Sport Loreto in the semifinals. In the 2015 Copa Perú, the club qualified to the National Stage and were made champions by defeating Cantolao 4-3 on aggregate. With the win, Defensor La Bocana qualified directly to the top flight of Peruvian football the Torneo Descentralizado in 2016.
