Tercera División () was the fourth tier of the Spanish football league system. Until 1977, it was the third tier of the Spanish football league system. The División Intermedia (), also known as the Segunda División (), is the third highest professional football league in Paraguay. It is organized by the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol. Overview Since 1910 the second division tournaments have changed rules, number of teams and names. As of 2006, División Intermedia is the name for the second division and 16 teams are part of it. The Unión del Fútbol del Interior (; UFI) is an association affiliated to the Asociación Paraguaya de Fútbol, Paraguayan Football Association that was founded in 1927 to organize and govern football (soccer), football outside of Asunción, specifically on each of the different Departments of Paraguay.
