Clonezilla
Clonezilla is an open-source suite of disk cloning, disk imaging and system deployment utilities. Clonezilla Server Edition uses multicast technologies to deploy a single image file to a group of computers on a local area network. Clonezilla was designed by Steven Shiau and developed by the National Center for High-Performance Computing, NCHC Free Software Labs in Taiwan. Clonezilla is used to deploy operating systems to computers by imaging a single computer and then deploying that Disk image, image to one or more systems. It integrates several other open-source programs to provide cloning and imaging capabilities. Clonezilla works by copying used blocks on the storage device (i.e. SSD, SATA SSD, Hard disk drive, HDD or NVMe, NVMe SSD). Partclone
Partclone is a partition clone and restore tool. It provides utilities to back up and restore partitions and is designed for higher compatibility of the file system library. It is developed by the NCHC Free Software Labs in Taiwan. It is the default backup application in Clonezilla, FOG (from version 1.00), Redo Rescue and Rescuezilla which is simply a front end to partclone. It supports many file systems and has good performance, as it skips portions of the file system marked as free space. Utilities Partclone currently supports the following filesystems: ext2, ext3, ext4, hfs+, reiserfs, reiser4, btrfs, vmfs(v3, v5), xfs, jfs, ufs, ntfs, fat(12/16/32), and exFAT. Disk cloning is the process of duplicating all data on a Digital Storage, digital storage drive, such as a Hard disk drive, hard disk or Solid-state drive, solid state drive, using hardware or software techniques. Live USB
A live USB is a portable USB-attached external data storage device containing a full operating system that can be booted from. Ntfsprogs was a collection of free Unix utilities for managing the NTFS file system used by the Windows NT operating system (since version 3.1) on a hard disk partition. 'ntfsprogs' was the first stable method of writing to NTFS partitions in Linux.
