Clive Allen
Clive Darren Allen (born 20 May 1961) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a forward (association football), forward for seven different London clubs. Allen was a prolific striker throughout his career. In 1986-87 he won the PFA Players' Player of the Year, PFA and Football Writers' Association player of the year awards. He also won 5 caps for England from 1984 to 1988. Early life Clive Allen was born in Stepney, London on 20 May 1961. Stepney
Stepney is an area in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in the East End of London. Stepney is no longer officially defined, and is usually used to refer to a relatively small area. However, for much of its history the place name was applied to a much larger manor and parish, which covered most of the inner East End. Stepney Green is a remnant of a larger area of Common Land formerly known as Mile End Green. The area was built up rapidly during the 19th century, mainly to accommodate immigrant workers and poor families displaced from London. London Monarchs
The London Monarchs were a professional American football team in NFL Europe and its predecessor league, the World League of American Football (WLAF). The Monarchs played their final season in 1998 as the England Monarchs. In 1999, they were replaced by the new Berlin Thunder (NFL Europe), Berlin Thunder. Early years The WLAF operated in 1991 WLAF season, 1991 and 1992 WLAF season, 1992 and included ten teams: six from the US, one from Canada, and three European-based teams (including the Monarchs), which were organised into three divisions (North American West, North American East, and European Divisions). Kenny Sansom
Kenneth Graham Sansom (born 26 September 1958) is a former professional footballer who played as a left-back. An England international, he played for clubs such as Crystal Palace, Arsenal, Newcastle United, Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers, Everton and Watford. Paul Allen (footballer)
Paul Kevin Allen (born 28 August 1962) is an English former professional footballer and delegate liaison officer for the Professional Footballers' Association. As a player, he was a midfielder who notably played top flight football for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, with appearance for Spurs and the Saints in the Premier League. He also played in the Football League for Luton Town, Stoke City, Swindon Town, Bristol City and Millwall. He won three caps for England at under-21 level. Martin Allen
Martin James Allen (born 14 August 1965) is an English football manager and former player. He played more than 100 games as a midfielder for both Queens Park Rangers and West Ham United before finishing his playing career with Portsmouth and Southend United. Five years later, he took his first job in management, at non-league Barnet. He has since managed Brentford, Milton Keynes Dons, Leicester City, Cheltenham Town and Notts County. He rejoined Barnet as manager on 16 April 2012 on a short-term, three-match contract succeeding Lawrie Sanchez. In July 2012 he became manager of Gillingham and in the 2012–13 season led the team to the Football League Two title, earning Allen his first promotion as a manager and Gillingham's first divisional title in 49 years. Bradley Allen
Bradley James Allen (born 13 September 1971) is an English football coach and former professional footballer, who is an academy coach at Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur. As a player, he was a forward who notably played in the Premier League for Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic. He also played in the Football League for Colchester United, Grimsby Town, Peterborough United and Bristol Rovers before finishing his career with spells in non-league with Hornchurch and Redbridge. Les Allen
Leslie William Allen (born 4 September 1937) is an English former football player and manager who played as an inside forward. Playing career Allen started his playing career at amateur club Briggs Sports where he helped them to reach the semi-finals of the Amateur Cup in 1954. In the same year Allen signed for Chelsea on his 17th birthday in September 1954 but never established his place in the Chelsea first-team. He scored 12 League goals for Chelsea in 44 appearances. Tottenham Hotspur Allen joined Tottenham Hotspur in December 1959 as part exchange for Johnny Brooks. PFA Players' Player Of The Year
The Professional Footballers' Association Men's Players' Player of the Year (often called the PFA Men's Players' Player of the Year, the Players' Player of the Year, or simply the Player of the Year) is an annual award given to the player who is adjudged to have been the best of the year in English football.
