Clint Stitser
Clint Stitser (born May 19, 1985) is an American former professional football player who was a placekicker in the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the New York Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Stitser was also a member of the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Washington Redskins and Las Vegas Locomotives. He is currently a real estate broker in Reno, Nevada. College career Stitser played college football for the Fresno State Bulldogs from 2003 to 2007. He made 71% of his field goals in his college career. Professional career New York Jets Stitser went undrafted in the 2008 NFL draft. He was signed by the New York Jets on April 6, 2010, but was waived on June 1. Placekicker
In gridiron football, the placekicker (PK), or simply kicker (K), is the player responsible for attempts at scoring Field goal (football), field goals and extra points. In most cases, the placekicker also serves as the team's kickoff specialist. The term derives from the attempted scorer kicking the ball "from placement" of a teammate holding the ball rather than by individually drop-kicking the ball through the goal posts. Specialized role The kicker initially was not a specialized role. Before the 1934 standardization of the spheroid, prolate spheroid shape of the ball, drop kicking was the prevalent method of kicking field goals and conversions, but even after its replacement by place kicking, until the 1960s the kicker almost always doubled at another position on the roster. The 2011 UFL season was the third season of the United Football League (UFL). The season, which was affected by franchise shifts and schedule delays due in part to the UFL's lingering financial issues (as well as a failure to capitalize on the National Football League's player lockout), began on September 15, 2011, and would have run through October 28, with a championship game set for the following weekend.
