Clint Robinson (baseball)
Clinton Michael Robinson (born February 16, 1985) is a former American professional baseball first baseman and outfielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Kansas City Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals. Robinson was selected by the Royals in the 25th round (756th overall) of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. Early career A standout at Northview High School in Dothan, Alabama, Clint Robinson decided to play college baseball at Troy University where he became a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. During his time at Troy he set team records for games played, at-bats, runs scored, hits, total bases, and hit-by-pitches. After a promising junior season cut short by an injury in 2006, Robinson went on to lead his team in seven statistical categories as a senior. A first baseman, abbreviated 1B, is the player on a baseball or softball team who fields the area nearest first base, the first of four bases a baserunner must touch in succession to score a run. The first baseman is responsible for the majority of plays made at that base. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the first baseman is assigned the number 3. Also called first sacker or cornerman, the first baseman is ideally a tall player who throws left-handed and possesses good flexibility and quick reflexes. The New Hampshire Fisher Cats are a Minor League Baseball team based in Manchester, New Hampshire. Luis Gustavo Santos Paulino (born February 11, 1991) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher for the Caliente de Durango of the Mexican League. He has previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Toronto Blue Jays. Vincent Michael Mazzaro (born September 27, 1986) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. The Carolina League is a Minor League Baseball league which has operated along the Atlantic Coast of the United States since 1945.
