Clifton Robinsons Hockey Club
Clifton Robinsons Hockey Club is a field hockey club based at Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol. It was formed by the merging of Clifton Ladies Hockey Club and Robinsons Hockey Club. The clubs had shared close links for many years, sharing pitches, umpires, coaches and annual dinners and in summer 2016 joined to form a single club. The Ladies' 1st XI play in the Women's England Hockey League and the Men's 1st XI play in the Men's England Hockey League. The club fields six ladies' and seven men's league sides and as well as junior and masters teams. As Clifton Ladies, the club has won the Women's Cup on four occasions (1998, 2000, 2016 and 2019) and was runner-up in 1996, 1997, 2005, 2013 and 2015. They also finished runner-up in the 1997-98 Women's National League. Men's England Hockey League
The Men's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organised by England Hockey that features men's teams from England and Wales. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of twelve teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten-team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The league has a winter break between December and February. The winners of the Premier Division regular season automatically qualify to play in the Euro Hockey League. Phoebe Richards (born 26 March 1993) is a field hockey player from Wales, who plays as a forward. Personal life Phoebe Richards was born and raised in Knighton, Wales. In addition to hockey, Richards also used to play football for England at Under–15 and Under–17 levels. Her grandmother is of English descent, allowing her to play for her neighbouring country. Holly Munro (born 22 July 1998) is a Welsh international field hockey player who plays as a defender for Wales and was in the Great Britain women's national field hockey team, Great Britain senior squad for the 2019 FIH Pro League. She made her international debut in 2022 against South Africa. She also appeared at the Commonwealth Games for Wales in 2022. 1998–99 England Hockey League Season
The 1998–99 English Hockey League season took place from October 1998 until May 1999. The men's National League was won by Cannock with the women's National League going to Slough. The top four clubs entered the newly introduced Premiership play off tournament which culminated with men's & women's finals on 3 May. Cannock won the men's Premiership tournament and Slough claimed the women's Premiership tournament.
