Cliff Mason
Clifford Ernest Mason (27 November 1929 – August 2013) was an English professional footballer who played as a left back for Darlington, Sheffield United, Leeds United, Scunthorpe United and Chesterfield in the 1950s and 1960s. Playing career Mason was born in York. He began his professional career at Sunderland, but never represented them in the Football League, and moved on to Darlington in July 1952. He made 107 League appearances over three seasons, and then joined Sheffield United for 1955–56, where he became captain and made 97 appearances in six seasons. Leeds United manager Don Revie signed Mason, aged 31, during the 1961–62 season for £10,000 as an experienced defender who was needed during a troubled season for Leeds when they were fighting relegation to the Third Division. Grenville Hair
Kenneth Grenville Arthur Hair (16 November 1931 – 7 March 1968) was a footballer who played his entire professional career for Leeds United between 1948 and 1964. He later became the manager of Wellington Town and Bradford City. He died of a heart attack, aged 36, after supervising a training session at Bradford City. Playing career Grenville Hair was a one-club man playing his entire professional career with Leeds United. He had been signed by manager Major Frank Buckley in 1948, and went on to make 474 appearances for the club as a left-back scoring just two goals. He was an almost ever-present in the Leeds side for ten years until the emergence of Willie Bell and Paul Reaney. Don Revie
Donald George Revie (10 July 1927 – 26 May 1989) was an English footballer and manager. He is best known for managing Leeds United from 1961 until 1974, winning the Football League First Division twice and the FA Cup once, before being the England national football team manager for three years. A forward, he began his career with Leicester City in August 1944, before a £19,000 move to Hull City in November 1949. He was sold on to Manchester City in October 1951 for a fee of £25,000, where he became the main focus of the " Revie Plan" which saw him named as FWA Footballer of the Year in the 1954–55 season, after innovating the role of the first deep-lying centre forward in England. He won the FA Cup in 1956, having finished on the losing side in the 1955 final. The Football League
The English Football League (EFL) is a league of professional football clubs from England and Wales. Founded in 1888 as the Football League, it is the oldest football league in the world, and was the top-level football league in England from its foundation until 1992, when the top 22 clubs split from it to form the Premier League.
