Clews (duo)
Clews (stylized CLEWS) is an Australian indie pop-rock duo based in Sydney. The band consists of sisters Lily and Grace Richardson and they are currently signed with Wonderlick Entertainment. Their song "Museum" received full rotation on triple j and they have supported Portugal. The Man, Ocean Alley, Middle Kids, and Albert Hammond Jr. They have their own podcast called "Love Clews" which they started in 2021. History Sisters Lily and Grace Richardson were raised in the coastal Australian town of Mollymook. Lily, the elder sister, began writing songs at age 15. The sisters were introduced to music at an early age; their father and his brother formed a band called Brother, which toured throughout the United States in the 1990s and 2000s. Holy Holy are an Australian indie rock band formed by songwriters Timothy Carroll (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Oscar Dawson (lead guitar) in 2011. The pair were later joined by session and touring musicians Ryan Strathie (drums) and Graham Ritchie (bass guitar). They have released six studio albums and have been nominated for two ARIA Awards. In 2025, the band announced that they would go on an indefinate hiatus. Jeff Buckley
Jeffrey Scott Buckley (raised as Scott Moorhead; November 17, 1966 – May 29, 1997) was an American musician. After a decade as a session guitarist in Los Angeles, he attracted a cult following in the early 1990s performing at venues in the East Village, Manhattan. He signed with Columbia, recruited a band, and released his only studio album, ''Grace'', in 1994. Buckley toured extensively to promote ''Grace'', with concerts in the U.S., Europe, Japan, and Australia. In 1996, Buckley worked on his second album with the working title '' My Sweetheart the Drunk'' in New York City with Tom Verlaine as the producer. In February 1997, he resumed work after moving to Memphis, Tennessee. On May 29, while awaiting the arrival of his band from New York, Buckley drowned while swimming in the Wolf River, a tributary of the Mississippi. The Strokes are an American Rock music, rock band formed in New York City in 1998. The band is composed of lead singer and primary songwriter Julian Casablancas, guitarists Nick Valensi and Albert Hammond, Jr., Albert Hammond Jr., bassist Nikolai Fraiture, and drummer Fabrizio Moretti. They were a leading group of the early-2000s garage rock revival and post-punk revival movements. Oasis are an English Rock music, rock band formed in Manchester in 1991. Albert Louis Hammond Jr. (born Albert Louis Hammond III; April 9, 1980) is an American musician who is a member of the rock band The Strokes. He is best known for his role as rhythm and lead guitarist, as well as occasionally a keyboard player and backing vocalist for the band. Hammond has released extensive solo work, including five solo albums. Born in Los Angeles, Hammond is a first-generation American, his father the songwriter Albert Hammond being of British-Gibraltarians, Gibraltarian descent, and his mother being of Argentines, Argentine descent. He attended the same Swiss boarding school as his bandmate Julian Casablancas, where the two became friends.
