Clendinning Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada. It surrounds the drainage of Clendinning Creek, which is a tributary of the Elaho River. Its name is shared by the Clendinning Range, of which Mount Clendinning is the highest summit (there is also a Clendinning Lake in the same basin). Lillooet Land District
The Lillooet Land District is one of the 59 Cadastre, cadastral subdivisions of British Columbia, which were created by the Lands Act of the Colony of British Columbia (1858-1866), Colony of British Columbia in 1859, defined as "a territorial division with legally defined boundaries for administrative purposes". The land district's boundaries came to be used as the boundary of the initial Lillooet (electoral district), Lillooet riding for the provincial Legislature from 1871, when the colony became a province. In addition to use in descriptions of land titles and lot surveys, the Land District was also the basis of the Lillooet Mining District. Included in the Land District are the historical region known as the Lillooet Country, including the Pemberton Valley, and the southeast Chilcotin Country, Chilcotin and South Cariboo areas. Sea-to-Sky Corridor
The Sea-to-Sky Corridor, often referred to as the Corridor or the Sea to Sky Country, is a region in British Columbia spreading from Horseshoe Bay through Whistler to the Pemberton Valley and sometimes beyond to include Birken and D'Arcy. From Whistler on up, the region overlaps with the older and more historic Lillooet Country, of which Squamish, at the region's centre, was once the southward extension in the days when it was the rail-port terminus from the Interior, via Lillooet, and accessible from the Lower Mainland only by sea. Most of the region is in the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District, although south of Britannia Beach a small part of the region is in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Elaho River
The Elaho River is a c.70 km long river beginning in the Coast Mountains northwest of the towns of Whistler and Pemberton, British Columbia. It is a tributary of the Squamish River and is known for its whitewater rafting and kayaking as well as for the intense alpine scenery lining its route. The Elaho is much larger than the Squamish River when it meets with it. The Elaho is often subject to flash flooding. Course The Elaho River originates at the outlet of an unnamed lake fed directly by the Elaho Glacier. The river starts off by flowing southeast for about 10.2 miles until its confluence with Marlow Creek, which flows from the Pemberton Icefield. Clendinning Creek
Clendinning Creek is a river in British Columbia. It is the largest tributary of the Elaho River. It is located entirely within Clendinning Provincial Park. Clendinning Creek is one of two popular whitewater kayak multi day trips in South West BC. Paddlers fly out of Green Lake in Whistler, it is usually a 2-day trip or can be combined with Fear Canyon on the Elaho to make a 3 days trip. Course Clendinning Creek originates at the outlet of remote Clendinning Lake. It kicks off by briefly flowing northeast for about 1.4 km before turning southeast and flowing that way for about 26.2 km until it reaches the Elaho River. Tributaries Clendinning Creek's only major (officially named) tributaries are Wave Creek and Jacobson Creek.
