The Worcester Range () is a high coastal range, about long, in Antarctica. It stands between Skelton Glacier and Mulock Glacier on the western side of the Ross Ice Shelf. It is southwest of the Royal Society Range and north of the Conway Range of the Cook Mountains. Exploration and naming The Worcester Range was probably named after the training ship in the Thames, in which many officers of early British Antarctic expeditions trained. It was discovered by the British National Antarctic Expedition (BrNAE), 1901–04. The name seems to have been first applied on the charts of the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907–09. Location The range is part of the Prince Albert-McMurdo Range, which also includes the Prince Albert Mountains, in the Victoria Land region of New Zealand's Ross Dependency claim. Clem (foaled 1954 in Kentucky) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. Bred by MGM Studios boss, Louis B. Mayer, he was purchased and raced by Adele Rand. Trained by Bill Stephens, younger brother to trainer Woody Stephens, Clem won several prestigious races on dirt and on turf during his four years in racing. In a space of less than two weeks in 1958, he set two track records while beating two horses ranked near the top in American racing history. Clem established his first new track record on September 1, 1958, in the Washington Park Handicap, a one-mile race on turf at Arlington Park in Chicago in which he defeated future U.S. Racing Hall of Fame inductee, Round Table. Clem was then shipped all the way to the East Coast of the United States to the Atlantic City Race Course where on September 13 he set another new track record for a mile and three sixteenths on turf in winning the United Nations Handicap while again defeating Round Table. Kilroy was here is a meme that became popular during World War II, typically seen in graffiti. Its origin is debated, but the phrase and the distinctive accompanying doodle became associated with G.I. (military), GIs in the 1940s: a bald-headed man (sometimes depicted as having a few hairs) with a prominent nose peeking over a wall with his fingers clutching the wall. "Mr Chad" or just "Chad" was the version that became popular in the United Kingdom. The character of Chad may have been derived from a British cartoonist in 1938, possibly pre-dating "Kilroy was here".
